NIB biotec selected to participate in the Get it! Investor Day

NIB biotec has been selected to participate in the Investor Day of the Get it!programme, promoted by Fondazione Social Venture Giordano Dell’Amore in partnership with Cariplo Factory.

The event will take place on 15 October at Cariplo Factory, located at Via Bergognone 34, Milan, and will represent the final stage of the acceleration and support pathway dedicated to the startups selected for the Percorsi di Valore programme.

For NIB biotec, this is an important milestone that confirms the relevance of our project and the value of the mission we are pursuing: helping to prostate cancer screening simpler, more accessible and more sustainable through a rapid testnon-invasive and low-cost test designed to be used close to people and integrated into community-based healthcare pathways.

From selection to a growth journey

Participation in the Investor Day represents the final step of a journey that began with NIB biotec being selected among the teams admitted to the Get it! programme, an initiative that supports ideas and startups capable of generating sustainable, investable and high social impact business models.

The programme included an initial acceleration phase, which NIB biotec completed with I3P, l’Incubatore di Imprese Innovative del Politecnico di Torino, during this phase, we worked on strengthening our business model, growth strategy and the social impact potential of our solution.

This was followed by a mentorship phase, which we are currently undertaking with Nidhal Louhichi, entrepreneur and innovator in the health sector. The opportunity to engage with entrepreneurial and sector-specific expertise is helping us further strengthen NIB biotec’s strategic vision, with particular focus on scalability, go-to-market strategy and the ability to generate value for patients, clinicians and healthcare systems.

The Investor Day on 15 October

During the Investor Day, the selected startups will have the opportunity to present their projects to investors, partners and stakeholders from the impact innovation ecosystem.

The morning will open with a pitch session. At the end of the session, the two investments planned by the Foundation will be announced: one investment of €50,000 and one investment of €100,000.

The event will continue with a second part dedicated to one-to-one meetings between investors and startups, offering a valuable opportunity to explore potential collaborations, discussions and investment opportunities in greater depth.

For NIB biotec, this moment represents not only an opportunity to present our work, but also a concrete step in the company’s growth journey. Engaging with investors and qualified players from the impact ecosystem can help accelerate the development of our diagnostic solution, support validation activities and foster new strategic partnerships.

Innovation, health and social impact

From the very beginning, our project has been based on a simple belief: innovation in healthcare has real value when it reaches people, reducing economic, logistical and territorial barriers.

In the case of prostate cancer, improving access to screening and risk stratification tools can help identify earlier those men who require further diagnostic investigation, while at the same time reducing unnecessary procedures and improving the efficiency of diagnostic pathways.

The test developed by NIB biotec was designed precisely with this vision in mind: a rapid, non-invasive and sustainable solution, conceived as a point-of-care device and potentially applicable in community-based healthcare settings, decentralised screening programmes and underserved areas.

In this sense, participation in the Get it! programme has represented an important opportunity to strengthen not only the entrepreneurial dimension of the project, but also its ability to generate measurable impact. For us, social impact means working toward more equitable access to prevention and early diagnosis, contributing to healthcare systems that are more inclusive, efficient and closer to people’s needs.

A shared journey

Reaching the Investor Day alongside the other selected organisations is a great source of pride. The Get it! programme has brought together diverse initiatives, all united by the ambition to address relevant social challenges through innovative, sustainable and impact-oriented models.

For NIB biotec, being part of this journey means engaging with a qualified ecosystem made up of incubators, mentors, investors, foundations and companies that believe in the possibility of combining innovation, economic sustainability and social benefit.

15 October will therefore be an important milestone, but also a starting point for the next phases of growth. We will continue working to bring our rapid test toward validation, adoption and integration into diagnostic pathways, building collaborations with clinicians, healthcare institutions, research organisations, industrial partners and investors.
