NIB biotec at the China-Italy Science, Technology and Innovation Week 2025

From November 13 to 15, 2025, the Chinese cities of Beijing and Hangzhou will host the 14th edition of the China-Italy Science, Technology and Innovation Week, the main platform for bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of scientific research, technological innovation and technology transfer.

Sponsored by the Ministry of University and Research of the Italian Republic and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, the Week represents a consolidated model of networking and matchmaking between universities, research centers, startups, and innovative companies. In Italy, the initiative is coordinated by IDIS-Città della Scienza Foundation of Naples, in collaboration with the National Research Council, while in China it is organized by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park, with the support of the International Technology Transfer Network.

A special edition for an important anniversary

The 2025 edition takes on a special significance, celebrating the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and China. It represents an opportunity to further strengthen institutional dialogue and promote new synergies between the two countries, under the banner of innovation and scientific cooperation.

The program includes:

• Opening ceremony with the participation of Ministers Anna Maria Bernini and Yin Hejun, during which new cooperation agreements between Italian and Chinese institutions will be signed;
• Thematic sessions dedicated to strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, sustainable energy, smart cities, and advanced manufacturing;
• Workshops and B2B meetings between universities, research centers, and companies to foster collaborations and joint projects.

NIB Biotec among the protagonists of innovation

Among the companies present, NIB biotec will participate as a member of the Italian startup delegation.

On November 14, at the China–Europe Biomedical Industry Innovation Cooperation Dialogue, NIB biotec will present its innovative projects and solutions in the field of in vitro diagnostics for the prostate cancer, based on patented urinary biomarkers.

Participation in the event represents an important opportunity for NIB biotec to connect with Chinese partners, investors, and institutions, with the aim of exploring new possibilities for collaboration and internationalization.
